MUTEC Inline Particle Size Measurement for Bulk Solids

The PA 3000 uses an optical inline measurement principle. During operation, bulk material flows freely through the sensing tube while a representative partial flow is continuously diverted for optical measurement. The system can measure particles from approximately 170 to 6,000 µm and analyze up to 10,000 particles per second, providing continuous information about particle size distribution.
This makes PA 3000 particularly useful for monitoring processes where particle size directly affects product quality and process performance, such as screening, grinding, milling, granulation, and incoming material inspection. The system can detect changes such as oversized or undersized particles and trigger programmable alarms when defined limits are exceeded. It can also support the detection of screen mesh damage, process overload, and changes in incoming material quality.
