How DYNArad MF 9000 Measures Mass Flow
The Mütec DYNArad MF 9000 determines mass flow by combining two independent measurements: particle velocity and bulk density. Unlike conventional flowmeters that estimate flow from a single parameter, this system continuously measures both values in real time and calculates the actual mass flow rate. By separating velocity and density measurement, the system remains accurate even when product properties or conveying conditions change.

Velocity Measurement (DYNAvel)
The first step is measuring the velocity of the conveyed material using the DYNAvel system. This electrostatic velocity measurement technology detects the natural electrical charges generated as solid particles move through the conveying pipe. Two capacitive velocity sensors are installed at a fixed distance along the pipeline. As particles pass each sensor, their electrical signatures are recorded and compared using correlation algorithms to determine the travelling time between the sensors, allowing the system to calculate particle velocity accurately.
